Examinations

• Format
  • We offer individual remote oral examinations on the contents of the courses Machine Learning 1/2 and Computer Vision 1/2 to all eligible students. There will not be written examinations on the contents of these courses in the Winter Term 2020/2021. In the degree program Computational Modeling and Simulation (CMS), the individual remote oral examination replaces the written examination.
  • Regarding complex examinations (does not apply to CMS):
    • We offer separate partial examinations (Teilprüfungen) this term and will send the mark to the main examiner who will calculate the total mark.
    • Students who wish to take a complex examination held jointly with another examiner need to look for a main examiner. Due to the large number of individual examinations, Bjoern Andres will not act as the main examiner of a complex examination held jointly with another examiner during this examination period.
• Creditability
  • Regulations regarding the creditability of the results of the examination depend on the degree program and module. Students in doubt are asked to check with the examination office or coordinator of their degree program.
• Scheduling and registration
  • Every examination on the contents of a course held this term needs to be first scheduled and then registered, as described below.
  • Every examination on the contents of a course held before the present term needs to be first registered, as described below, and then scheduled by email to mlcv-exams@tu-dresden.de.
  • Deadlines are strict; there will not be exceptions.
  • Incomplete or late registrations will be ignored during this examination period. Due to the large number of examinations, we will not have the capacity to inquire missing information.
  • Scheduling of appointments for individual remote oral examinations:
    • Open from 2020-01-08 through 2020-01-24
    • Exclusively through OPAL
  • Registration of scheduled individual remote oral examinations at MLCV Chair:

        • For all students enrolled in the degree program CMS: Screenshot of the SELMA registration. CMS students need to register their scheduled examination additionally via SELMA and submit a screenshot of the SELMA registration. An additional registration form is not required. Registrations via SELMA only will be ignored during this examination period. Questions about SELMA shall be addressed to cms-examoffice@mailbox.tu-dresden.de
        • For all students enrolled in degree programs other than CMS or MCL: Scans of the completely filled-in and signed registration documents required by the examination office of the degree program, listed under the item Complex Examinations in Winter Semester 2020/2021 (as of 13 November 2020), Registration. These documents are specific to the degree program. Without these, the examination cannot be registered.
